PRISTINE SOUND FOR 100 YEARS
HOW IT ALL BEGAN...
Eugen Beyer was fascinated by the moving images of the emerging cinema and wanted to bring these images to life with sound. He dedicated himself to the development and production of cinema loudspeakers and founded the company “Elektrotechnische Fabrik Eugen Beyer” in 1924. This laid the foundation for today's beyerdynamic GmbH & Co. KG.
IMPORTANT MILESTONES
Since the founding of beyerdynamic 100 years ago, we have continuously introduced innovative products in the areas of headphones, microphones and conference technology. They have significantly shaped our company history and the audio world. We would like to introduce you to a few highlights here.
DT 48
The headphones that started it all: The first dynamic headphones, the DT 48, remained part of our portfolio until 2012.
M 19
Our first studio-ready dynamic microphone is considered a milestone in electroacoustics and went down in history as a reportage microphone.
DT 100
The closed studio headphones DT 100 have a reputation for being virtually indestructible and are still used by many legendary musicians today.
DT 770 & DT 990
Two new headphones that have a so-called diffuse field equalised frequency response will turn into the studio classics of the next decades: DT 770 and DT 990.
T1
The first generation of the high-end T1 headphones uses our specially developed Tesla technology for the first time.
Xelento remote
For the first generation of the high-end in-ear headphone series XELENTO, a miniaturised version of the Tesla driver was developed for the first time.
PRO X Series
The PRO X series is made for limitless creativity: The DT 700 PRO X and DT 900 PRO X headphones as well as the M 70 PRO X and M 90 PRO X offer unprecedented flexibility with the proven beyerdynamic sound quality.

MADE IN GERMANY
Since the company was founded by Eugen Beyer in 1924, we have relied on the “Made in Germany” seal of quality. Even 100 years later, around 85% of the headphones and microphones we sell are manufactured in Germany, mostly by hand.
